Penguin Palace Hello There! 2 for 1 Rainbow cards

Hi Everyone! I am back today to share a couple of cards that I made with the Hello There die from Penguin Palace!

These cards were so easy to make and the best part is getting 2 cards for my effort!

First I pulled out a piece of watercolor cardstock took out some Daniel Smith Watercolours and painted rainbow coloured stripes across the panel. I set the panel aside to dry ( about 10 minutes) and then used the die to cut the panel.

As I was about to take the diecut and adhere it to an A2 card base I realized that this would be a great opportunity to make 2 cards! So I adhered  the diecut to an A2 card base and then also adhered the negative die cut panel to another  A2 card base!  After that I added a few gems to each card and  that is all!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Simon Says Stamp Let's Chill Release!

Hi Everyone! It's release time at Simon Says Stamp

Today I have two cards to share with you that I made using the new Simon Says Stamp Beach Keen stamp set!

For the Have a Chill Day card I stamped that sentiment from the stamp set with some black ink on a panel slightly smaller than A2. Next I pulled a selection of Simon inks and stamped the popsicles in fun colours in a wreath style around the sentiment. I adhered the panel to an A2 card base and then added a few gems and that is it!

For my second card I stamped the sun umbrella image on a panel of watercolour paper that is a bit smaller than A2. Then I smooshed some Simon Inks on my Glass mat and used some water and my paint brushes to pick up the ink. I coloured in the images. Next adhered the panel to an A2 card base and added a few gems! That's all!

Hi Everyone! I am back today sharing a card with you that I made with Penguin Palace goodies!

I just love this Butterfly Emergence die set! I've made several cards with it!

There are so many ways that you can use it to make cards for all occasions!

For today's card I used almost the entire die set!

I first took out my Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and ink smooshed some Ink On Three Inks- Bee Sting Yellow and Peacock Blue Ink pads onto my Tim Holtz glass mat.

I spritzed the ink with water and then dabbed my paper into the ink. I let it dry in between each of the layers of ink. I repeated the process for each of the 4 diecuts that I used.

Once the panels were dry I die cut them using the Butterfly emergence layer dies. I adhered the background piece to my 110# Neenah card base with my Gina K connect glue. Then I layered the panels up. Next I added some glue to the body of the butterfly and adhered it to the panel. I added some gems to the body of the butterfly and on the card panel. I then stamped the sentiment from Let's meet IRL stamp set and made a sentiment strip and popped it up with some 3M foam tape.
Thats it!

Like Birds of a Feather...

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card that I made using some stamps and dies from Dare 2B Artsy.

First I took  a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and stamped one of the the bird images with my Versamark ink. Then  I sprinkled some white WOW clear embossing powder over the ink and then heat it up.

Next i used my Ink on 3 inks and smushed them on my Tim Holtz glass mat. I spritzed the ink with water and then used my Escoda brush to pick the ink up to colour the bird in.

Next I used some images in the stamp set to create a background on some Neenah paper. I die cut that out a little smaller than A2 size.  I adhered that to an A2 card base of Neenah paper.

After that I die cut the bird out with the coordinating dies and popped it up on the patterned panel with some 3M foam tape.

Lastly I stamped a sentiment on a strip of Neenah paper and adhered it to the patterned panel. I added a few gems and that is it!

Wish I could hug you!

Hi Everyone!  It’s National Hug day!

Today I am sharing a card that I made with an easy “watercolour” background, an embossing folder and sentiment from Simon Says Stamp!

First I took a piece of Tim Holtz distress watercolour paper and die cut it a bit smaller than A2 size. I spritzed the panel with water by using my Distress spray bottle. Then I smushed the  Ink on 3 Peacock Blue & Bee Sting Atelier inks on my Tim Holtz glass mat. I spritzed that ink with some water. Next I took the cut down piece of watercolour panel  and lay it in the ink and moved it around until it was fully covered and then set it aside.

While that watercolour panel was drying I took a piece of Neenah paper and cut out the Wish I could Hug you die three times and adhered them together. Next I cut out the sentiment shadow out of some vellum and adhered it to the diecut sentiment.

Now that the watercolour panel is dry I put it into the embossing folder and ran it through my diecut machine. I adhered the whole sentiment and shadow to the embossed watercolour panel and then to an A2 card base made from Neenah 110# paper and that is it!

Watercolour card for Simon Says Stamp's Hello Beautiful Release

Hi Everyone! The Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful release is now live! For this card I used the new Suzy Watercolor coloring cards by Simon Says Stamp !

First I took one of the pre stamped watercolour images from Simon Says Stamp and pulled our some colours from my Karin Markers. I coloured the image up and left it a few minutes to dry. In the meantime I gathered some Gina K Key Lime cardstock and diecut a panel with a dotted die. I adhered it to my card base made of Neenah 110# cardstock. Then I trimmed the watercolour card just enough to have the Lime cardstock frame it and attached it all together. I added a bit of glitter from my glitter pen on the butterflies and a few gems from Studio Katia and that is it!

Cosmos & Hugs

Hi everyone! I craft when I need to chill. To process info that’s happening around me. I learned while crafting with others that I sing while I do that 🤷🏾‍♀️. Who knew? This card I’m sharing today is just what I want to do. Hug other humans. Ok. Socially distant hugs. 🤗

Today I used my Karin Brush Markers to watercolour  some of the Cosmos from the Stunning Cosmos stamp set from Altenew.  I also used the hugs die from the Script words die set to add a sentiment. I sprayed the die cut with my Avery Elle Clear Shimmer spray and adhered it all to my card base.  I added a few gems from Studio Katia and that's it!

25 Days of Christmas Tags - Simon Says Stamp

Hi Everyone! Today I’m happy to be a guest designer for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags which is hosted by the lovely and talented Tracey McNeely. @traceymcneely! Tracey can be found at http://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.ca

This is the 10th year of this event!  Be sure to check out Tracy's blog to see all of the wonderful tags created by all of the amazing designers!

Today I chose Simon Says Stamp's Outline Christmas Bulbs background stamp and stamped it with Ranger Distress Linen ink. I then selected a few of my Karin Markers and  scribbled some colour onto my Tim Holtz Glass Mat and used my Escoda pain brush to pick up the paint.  Then I cut Simon Says Stamp's Merry Christmas die with Silver cardstock and then black cardstock. I stuck them together slightly offset to ensure that the silve rcardstock stood out from the tag. I created a red bow at the top of the tag with some red glitter tape that I had in my stash!

Birthday Love Token

Hi Everyone! This is a card that I made using Simon Says Stamp Love Tokens stamps.
I used Wow white embossing powder to emboss the Birthday Love token multiple times on a panel of Arches Cold pressed watercolour paper. I then took my Ocean Teal Karin Marker and scribbled it onto my Tim Holtz glass mat and used my Escoda paint brush to pick up the colour. I used water to diffuse the colour on my panel and set it to dry. Once dry I used my Gina K connect glue to attach it to a panel of white craft foam and then to my card base.  I splattered some water on the panel and added some Studio Katia gems. That's it!
