Happy Birthday Shaker card with Alcohol Ink and dies

Hi Everyone! I pulled out some yupo paper and a rainbow of Ranger alcohol inks. I wet the yupo with the blending solution first and then added my alcohol ink. I used an air blower to help move the ink and solution around on my yupo paper.  Once the ink was where I wanted it I left it to dry.

I then took a panel of Neenah solar white  and cut it out 7 times with the Lots  of Hearts die from My Favorite Things. I then adhered them together with my Gina K connect glue and then cut out the middle to create a well to hold my sequins. I glued that to my card base and used my powder tool to ensure that there were no more sticky parts. I pulled out some Studio Katia sequins and put them in the middle of the die cut.

Then I took my alcohol ink panel and cut that with the Lots of Hearts die and then adhered a piece of acetate to the back of  it. I glued that down to cover the sequins. I then cut out the Happy Birthday die from My favourite things with some Neenah solar white paper and used my Glitter clear sparkle embossing power to cover it and used my  and there you have it!  A fun alcohol ink birthday shaker card!

Hello!

Hi Everyone! Today I decided to use the Oversized Hello die from Waffle Flower! I pulled out some Yupo paper and my Glacier (blue) and Vineyard (Purple)  Alcohol inks from Ranger. I wet the yupo with the blending solution first and then added my alcohol ink pearls. I used an air blower to help move the ink and solution around on my yupo paper.  Once the ink was where I wanted it I left it to dry.

I then took a panel of Neenah solar white and used my Altenew Dotted Swirls Debossing cover die. I then took my Lawn Fawn Dotted rectangles A2 sized die to create the border on the edges of the panel. I adhered that panel to my card base made from 110 pound Neenah cardstock with Gina K Designs Connect glue.

Then I used the Waffle Flower Oversized Hello to cut out the middle of the yupo paper where the two colours overlap so that both colours would be a part of the sentiment. I also cut out another Oversized Hello sentiment out of white craft foam and adhered it together and then to the card base. I added a few gems from Studio Katia and voila!  Let me know if you decide to try this!

Just Because for Simon Says Stamp's Love You release

Hi Everyone! The Simon Says Stamp Love You release is now live! For these cards I used the new Simon Says Stamp + CZ Design Just Because die!

First I took a piece of Yupo paper and squeezed some Ranger Alcohol Blending Solution all over it. Then squeezed a few drops of the Tim Holtz Cobalt alcohol ink and used my blower to move the ink around the Yupo paper. Then I added a few drops of the Tim Holtz Guilded Alloy and used my blower again to move it around on my Yupo paper.  I was having so much fun ( as I always do when playing with my alcohol inks) that I made a second panel!

Then I used the new Simon Says Stamp + CZ Design Just Because die and cut that out three times out of white cardstock. I used Simon Says Stamp vellum to cut out the shadow.  I adhered them with my Gina K connect glue and then added a Studio Katia gem to dot the I.   I adhered the entire sentiment to my panel and that's it!

For my second card I used the new Simon Says Stamp + CZ Design Just Because die and cut that out three times out of white cardstock. I used my second Yupo panel to cut out the shadow.  I adhered them with my Gina K connect glue.  Then I splattered some Gansai Tambi  gold paint over  my Nenah 110# cardstock panel. I then took my stacked up cardstock Just Because and Yupo shadow and adhered  it  all to a 110# Neenah card base and then added some Studio Katia Gems.

For my third card I used the new Simon Says Stamp + CZ Design Just Because die and cut that out of my Yupo panel. Then I cut the shadow three times out of white cardstock and I adhered them with my Gina K connect glue.  I cut a panel out of Concord & 9th's Midnight cardstock and then splattered some Gansai Tambi  gold paint on it. I then took my stacked up cardstock Just Because and Yupo shadow and adhered  it  all to a 110# Neenah card base and then added some Studio Katia Gems.

Swatching the latest Ranger Alcohol Ink

Hi Everyone! I finally swatched the most recent Ranger Alcohol Ink colours!

First I cut some Yupo paper into rectangles. I then lay the rectangles out on my Tim Holtz glass mat.   Then I dropped 5 drops of alcohol ink on each Rectangle and allowed them to dry. Once  the ink was dry I printed out the ink names using the ink swatch templates from Jennifer Maguire’s website.  I cut the card stock swatches into 2 x 2” squares and then attached the ink swatches to the card stock and placed them into into some coin pockets. So simple to do! Which colour is your favourite? Let me know in the comments!

For my project today I made a Thank You card. This card was quick and easy using the Big Thanks die from Concord & 9th. I used some Yupo paper and my indigo and turquoise alcohol inks from Tim Holtz and Ranger. I wet the Yupo paper with the blending solution first and then added my alcohol ink. I used an air blower to help move the ink and solution around on my Yupo paper. Once I got the ink to where I wanted it I left it to dry. I took a panel of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece on Neenah cardstock and put it into a We R Memory Keepers 3D embossing folder and ran that through my Gemini junior. Then I used the Big Thanks die and ran it through my Gemini Junior die cutting machine to cut the Yupo. I popped out the die cut and glued it to my card base made from 110 pound Neenah cardstock with Gina K Designs Connect glue.  I added a few Starry gems from Pretty Pink Posh! Now how easy was that? Let me know if you decide to give this a try! Links to the supplies that I used are below.

Got Joy Creations Holiday Series 2019

Hey everyone. It’s Karen from Cards Stamp’s and Ink here with you and I’m taking over Dana’s blog and Youtube channel to share in the fun of Dana’s Got Joy Creations Holiday Series for 2019. Make sure you are following this series for amazing holiday inspiration, giveaways, discount codes and don’t forget to leave a comment below to qualify for all of the giveaways. There will also be tutorials and cards shared by Dana as well and she will have a few surprises to share with you!

Today I decided to use the Oversized Merry die from Waffle Flower! I pulled out some Yupo paper and my Deception Alcohol ink pearls from Ranger. I wet the yupo with the blending solution first and then added my alcohol ink pearls. I used an air blower to help move the ink and solution around on my yupo paper.  I decided to make a second panel since I was having so much fun! Once the ink was where I wanted it I left it to dry. Then I used the Waffle Flower oversized Merry to cut out the middle of the paper. I popped out the die cut and glued it to my card base made from 110 pound Neenah cardstock with Gina K Designs Connect glue.  I made sure to save the inner pieces of the R’s and Y so that I could use them to make a second card from the same piece of Yupo.  I added a few gems from Pretty Pink Posh and voila! 4 Christmas cards! Let me know if you decide to try this!

The GJC Holiday Card Series runs from November 17 to December 14.  Each day Dana will have a Guest Designer right on the Got Joy Creations blog sharing their holiday card ideas just like I did today. Hopefully you will find something to inspire you to create holiday cards for your family and friends this year. Follow along on her YouTube Channel and make sure you leave comments on each designer's posts or videos for chances to win.

Thanks for stopping by!
